President Dr Mohamed Muizzu expressed condolences to Mohammad Mokhber, the Vice President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, following the demise of Iranian President Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian.
In his message, the President conveyed his profound sorrow upon learning of the unfortunate news. He acknowledged that President Raisi's sudden demise undoubtedly left a deep void in the hearts of the Iranian people. He further noted that President Raisi's resolute decisions upheld the values of Islam, bringing solace and strength to many.
Concluding his message, the President also added that Maldivians join him in extending deep sympathies to the people of the Islamic Republic of Iran in this time of national sorrow and in praying to the Almighty Allah to bless the souls of the departed and grant them Jannatul Firdaus.
