President Dr Mohamed Muizzu attended the opening ceremony of the fourth International Conference on Small Island Developing States (SIDS4). Upon arrival, he was received by António Guterres, the Secretary-General of the United Nations (UN) and Gaston Browne, the Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda.
The UN holds the International Conference on SIDS every ten years. SIDS4 is a chance for leaders and all stakeholders to come together under the theme of “Charting the Course Towards Resilient Prosperity” and work towards a more sustainable, prosperous and resilient future for SIDS.
President Dr Muizzu is scheduled to deliver his National Statement at the opening ceremony of the SIDS4.
