Dr. Edward Addai, the UNICEF Representative to the Maldives, met with First Lady Sajidha Mohamed this morning at the Official Residence of the President, Mulee'aage, to discuss ongoing initiatives for improving children's development in the Maldives.

During the meeting, the First Lady commended UNICEF's continuous support in addressing various issues related to children's well-being. She highlighted the positive impact of UNICEF's work and the importance of their partnership in enhancing the lives of children in the country.

Dr. Addai expressed his appreciation for the First Lady's leadership and her support of UNICEF initiatives. He thanked her for her involvement in the UNICEF nutrition program and praised the Administration's commendable work towards economic reform and social services in the Maldives. He also conveyed gratitude for her participation in the Children’s Day Art Exhibition held on November 24, 2023, and shared a digital copy of the exhibition with her.

The discussion between the First Lady and Dr. Addai focused on social issues related to the protection and development of children and ensuring their rights are upheld. Both parties emphasized the need for continued collaboration to address these critical issues.
